"The Cycle" comes from baseball. If a hitter achieves a single, a double, a triple, and a home run within one game, that hitter proves to master fundamentals (a single), risk management (a double), speedy action (a triple), and patience and power.
Fundamentals ensure you do basic things right, every time! Risk management: should we go for more this time or is the risk too high? Speed, because the window of opportunity closes soon and our competitors are catching up. Patience and power: when the moment is right we move forward, confident and with force. Mastering these aspects is what creates success far exceeding average performance.
Vision without Action is a Daydream
Action without Vision is a Nightmare
Governance roles
monitor both.
Interim roles ensure
both.
My background spans multiple industries, with a strong focus on logistics and a particular specialization in storage terminals (liquid and dry), supported by extensive international experience. With over 40 years of passion and experience in improvement and innovation, I support organizations in moving to the next level through a practical results driven approach.
Using an authentic and situational leadership style, where adapting to the needs of the organization and its people is key. The empathy of combining the organization's objectives with knowledge about why things are what they are, and why people act how they act, creates an approach recognized and appreciated at C-level and on the workfloor: honest, driven, actionable, and result oriented.
My approach is centered on building and improving organizations, not maintaining the status quo. Rapid assessment of complex situations and translation of insights into clear, actionable solutions.
The ability to operate across all phases of a challenge and deliver results at every level — from non-executive director roles to hands-on involvement in driving change and delivering results.
If you're facing a governance challenge, a leadership transition, or an operational inflection point, I'm here to listen.
